Licensing Act
In order to undertake certain activities, it is necessary to obtain some form of authorisation from the local Council. There are a number of exemptions and in order to check that you are legal, it is sensible to obtain professional legal advice.
The licensable activities are :
Supply of alcohol
Supply of hot food and drink after 11pm
Provision of plays
Provision of films
Provision of live music
Provision of recorded music
Indoor sports, including boxing and wrestling
Provision of a performance of a dance
Provision of facilities for dancing
Provision of facilities for making music
